Our Fees and Rebates
You may be eligible for a Medicare rebate when seeing our psychologists
To access rebates you’ll need a referral from one of the following

General Practitioner (GP)
-
Psychiatrist
-
Paediatrician
The referral must be provided under one of these recognised care plans

Mental Health Care Plan
-
Eating Disorder Treatment Plan

Chronic Disease Management Plan
Our psychologists are registered with Medicare and rebates are available for eligible clients. The limit on the number of sessions you can claim from Medicare is as follows:

If you’re unsure about your eligibility, we recommend you speak with your GP who can guide you through the referral process
Private Health Insurance Rebate:
Rebates from insurance companies differ and depend on 'extras' cover schemes that can change over time. We recommend that you check your 'extras' coverage and eligibility with your private health fund to confirm if rebates apply to your psychological, psychotherapy or counselling service.

Our Psychology Fees:
Clinical psychologist standard session is $300 and the Medicare rebate is $145.25
Registered psychologist standard session is $250 and the Medicare rebate is $98.95
The Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommends an hourly rate for psychological services of $318 (2025 - 2026 financial year)

For fees relating to all our other services (including ADHD and Autism spectrum assessments), please check with the practitioner or our Practise Manager when you first enquire about a session at reception@oceanicwellbeing.com.au
